If you're interested in commissioning a painting by David Trump, this is the process we follow.
Once you have decided to proceed you will receive a order form (either emailed or in the post) which you are required to complete and return (together with your 50% deposit - see T&C's on our PRICES page).
Idealy we prefer to visit the subject to take notes, make sketches, take photographs and get a better understanding of their personality ultimately leading to a more inspiring finished work. However, this is not always possible, so the majority of my commissions are produced from photographs supplied by clients. In this instance I would require as many clear photographs of the subject as possible to enable an understanding of the animal's form, texture and colouring. I will advise my client as to whether the photographs are suitable before starting work on the picture. All photographs will be returned together with the final painting.
Should the commissioned piece require detailed backgrounds or content, an initial sketch will be supplied for approval by the client prior to proceeding with the final painting.
Once the final artwork has been completed, a low resolution image will be emailed to the client for their final approval before despatch of the final painting.
